Privacy & Data Handling Policy

How we collect, use, and protect your information under Canadian and international privacy law.

01

Information We Collect

When you submit a contact form, request a project review, or sign up for our newsletter, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and any message you provide. Our servers also log technical data such as IP address, browser type, operating system, and pages visited. We use Google Analytics to track aggregated usage patterns — no personally identifiable information is shared with Google.

02

How We Use Your Data

Your contact details are used solely to respond to your inquiry, provide a quote, or deliver the service you requested. Technical data helps us improve site performance and content relevance. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Email addresses are stored in our CRM (hosted in Canada) and are never used for third-party marketing.

03

Cookies & Tracking

This site uses essential cookies for session management and security. We also use optional analytics cookies (Google Analytics) to understand how visitors interact with our content. You can disable analytics cookies in your browser settings. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are deployed.

04

Data Retention & Security

Contact form submissions are retained for 24 months after the last correspondence, then permanently deleted. Technical logs are anonymized after 6 months. We employ industry-standard encryption (TLS 1.3) for data in transit and restrict database access to authorized personnel only. Our hosting provider is located in Canada and complies with PIPEDA.

05

Your Rights

Under PIPEDA and the GDPR (for EU residents), you have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data. You may withdraw consent for processing at any time. To exercise these rights, contact our Privacy Officer at the address below. We will respond within 30 days.

06

Contact & Complaints

For privacy-related inquiries, data requests, or complaints, write to: Privacy Officer, 97099 Kelsie Motorway Apt. 603, or email info@directbioenergy.com. If you are unsatisfied with our response, you may file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
